Thank you for your support while we are away from home keeping our country safe

I want to take the time out to thank you for the package sent.  I really appreciate that you all take time to put the packages together for my shipmates and me.  Also, thank you for your support while we are away from home keeping our country safe.  While everything is happening around us it is always nice to know that we have your support.  Thank you again and God bless!  AOAA C. J.

It may be the only mail some of them get

My name is Master Sergeant C. P.  I’m currently deployed to Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan, as the Avionics Chief of HMLA-39 (Huey and Cobra helicopter squadron).  I was pleasantly surprised with the wonderful care package I received from your organization.  I thought the contents were extremely well thought out and useful to us out here.  Please thank everyone there for what you do for us.  I have 50 Marines working for me and everyone got a box.  It may be the only mail some of them get.  Morale was obviously higher when the packages arrived and I wanted you to know your efforts are appreciated.  Many of my Marines are now on deployment number 5 or 6 as close air support is a critically important part of the effort here and it’s nice for the Marines to know that their efforts are not without thanks.  Sincerely, MSGT C. P.

It’s people like you with these simple thoughts of kindness that continue to bring a touch of home to thousands of service members

I just wanted to take a few minutes and personally send you a thank you note for the thoughts of kindness.  I appreciate all the items that were donated from Operation Gratitude.  Thank you for the continued support for all the Soldiers deployed, it’s people like you with these simple thoughts of kindness that continue to bring a touch of home to thousands of service members deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.  I want to present you with a coin that I give to outstanding soldiers for a job well done.  What you have done with Operation Gratitude is worthy of more than just this coin but the gratitude of thousands of deployed soldiers.  Please pass on warm wishes and many thanks to everyone involved in this organization.  God bless you, your family and the United States of America.  “IRON SOLDIERS!”  Very respectfully, SGT MAJ E. C.

I cannot thank you enough for the wonderful care package

Posted on September 8, 2010 - 13:08 PM

I cannot thank you enough for the wonderful care package I received through your efforts with Operation Gratitude!  Included on your mailing list were several of my shipmates.  Everyone of them was thrilled with the gifts, snacks, and candy.  The generosity you sent was repeated several times.  We all gave freely of our new found bounty to the small crowd of curious on lookers that the opening of each box seemed to draw.  Thank you for taking the time to let us remain attentive to the fact that there are folks who appreciate our time away from home.  Best regards, R. F.

I was not alone in all the excitement

Posted on September 8, 2010 - 13:07 PM

I received my package of goodies yesterday.  What a surprise.  Thank you so very much.  I was not alone in all the excitement.  I shared with others in my unit.  We had a pistachio frenzy going on.  Everyone was wearing a smile.  Nothing beats unexpected treats!  God bless you.  Know that your effort is very much appreciated.  CW5 C. C.
